Primary Education Program at Yersin School builds a solid foundation by combining the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) with the international Cambridge English pathway (Starters – Flyers). At the same time, we focus on nurturing character and skills from the ground up through proprietary programs such as Leader in Me (Self-Leadership) and STEM education methods.     Explore & Self-Mastery

    This stage marks the beginning of students’ development of logical thinking, self-learning skills, and deeper exploration of scientific and social fields.

    English: Enhancing and perfecting the four language skills, aiming to achieve the Cambridge Flyers certificate, providing an advantage for secondary education programs.

    1. Literature

    Description:

    This subject is a journey to explore the beauty of the Vietnamese language through familiar stories and poems. Students are encouraged to tell stories, practice writing, and express their ideas, thereby nurturing their inner world and natural communication skills.

    2. Mathematics

    Description:

    Mathematics is approached in an intuitive way through games and hands-on activities. Students learn about numbers, shapes, and calculations by solving real-life problems, serving as a first step toward logical thinking and future STEM projects.

    3. Foreign Language (English)

    Description:

    English is absorbed naturally through songs, games, and interactive activities. The program, based on the CEFR framework, helps students gain confidence in using English in daily communication and builds a solid foundation for higher levels.

    • Develop all four English skills—Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing—at a basic level.
    • Build confidence and natural reflexes in English communication.

    4. Natural and Social Sciences / Science

    Description:

    This subject opens the door for students to explore the world around them, from the human body, animals, and plants to natural phenomena. Students are encouraged to observe, ask questions, and conduct simple experiments.

    Objective:
    • Provide initial knowledge about the natural and social world.
    • Develop observation skills, curiosity, and a love for learning.
    • Foster a love for nature and an awareness of environmental protection.

    5. History and Geography

    Description:

    Students explore their local environment and learn about Vietnam through engaging historical stories and interesting geographical features. The course is connected with field trips to enhance visualization and make learning more vivid.

    6. Information Technology & Technology

    Description:

    Students are introduced to computers and basic digital tools in a safe environment. The course focuses on skills using simple software, visual programming (drag-and-drop), and online safety rules.

    • Build awareness of responsible digital citizenship.

    7. Physical Education

    Description:

    Physical education classes provide time to develop health, endurance, and teamwork through a variety of sports such as swimming and basketball. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate, helping students release energy and develop their physical abilities to the fullest.

    • Develop good habits and positive personal qualities.

    11. STEM

    Description:

    Students are introduced to STEM through simple assembly and model-making projects. These activities spark curiosity and help them realize that science and technology are both accessible and fascinating.
